![]() However, because you are hybrid, it means you have a good mix of Atk and Matk (more in total than if you leaned into one or the other), which is great for the curse skill. You use this to regain energy (even faster than meditation without having to stat into energy regen) and you will still do okay damage. The idea of such a build is that you regain lots of energy by hitting things. Meditate alone won't be able to keep up with it (and is easily interrupted) and if you're just meditating and casting buffs, you're actually not contributing nearly as much as you could. ![]() Trying to maintain all four 15~20 second buffs across 4 people (this is including yourself) is ridiculously expensive in energy. I'll tell you the full-on "support" build I did:Ī hybrid attack speed build (that means meleeing with a magic weapon with as much attack speed as possible), focusing on building as many passive skills which increase energy and your attack speed and reducing the cost of your buffs and increasing their duration (the 15 second ones can go up to 20 seconds with passive skills). If you are playing with 3 other people though, well, that's where playing as a "support" becomes a lot more interesting. Besides, some mage skills (specifically the ice tree) have some utility uses as well, especially Frosty Friend (a summon skill). You can of course focus on utility first, but utility skills only require 3 silver points to max out each, while every magic/melee skill in the game requires 5 silver points and 5 gold points (you get 1 gold point every 3 levels). If you are playing with one friend, I'd recommend playing as a "mage". You can taunt up to 2/3/4 enemies at once. You deal 25% extra damage to them and they deal 50% extra damage to you for the duration. Useful all around.Īnd finally, one where you provoke the target for 5/6/7 seconds and they are forced to target you. ![]() One that lets you instantly blink a short distance wherever you target it. It's drastically reduced duration against bosses. The damage cap is based on 300% of both the caster's Atk and Matk stat.Īnother one which puts one target into stasis for 3/4/5 seconds, preventing their movement for a short time (or until they're hit). The rest of the skills are more utility oriented, though and not strictly "support" ones"Ī skill that puts a curse on an enemy which builds up, dealing 40/45/50% of the total damage the target received in a single burst after a few seconds. ![]() You also recover energy 100% faster while using the skill when you are focused. After two seconds, you become "focused" and the next skill you cast will have half of the usual energy cost. Meditation: Regenerate energy 70/80/90% faster (scaling with any increases to your energy regen) while using the skill. Haste: 10/12.5/15% increases both attack and casting speed for the target.įortify: Increases the defense stat by 20/24/28%, increases shield durability regeneration by 50/75/100%, and energy regen by 10/12.5/15% for the target. When the barrier breaks, it acts as if you were just guard broken.Įmpower: 15/17.5/20% increase to both attack and magic attack stat for the target. If cast right before an attack hits, it performs the same effects as a perfect guard and reduces damage of the attack to 0. It makes a bubble that grants temporary HP based on 10/17.5/25% of the target's max HP (or up to 5 hits) and even prevents flinching when being the target is hit to boot. The game heavily encourages and aims players towards aggressive play.īarrier: Probably the single best skill in the game and literally everyone should have it. This is especially the case in multiplayer, where enemies (specifically boss) health is scaled and balanced around all players dealing damage. Secrets of Grindea gives options, it is mostly aimed towards aggressive play, and rewarding those, rather than more passive/defensive playstyles. There is a support tree (or more specifically, a utility tree), but it's more of a sub-class rather than it's own thing.
